Stretching Within

This past winter I had the pleasure of being a part of Misty Mawn's recent on-line workshop entitled Stretching Within. The class was wonderful; a virtual world of caring and supportive women just a few clicks away. Misty clearly put her heart into the creation of the class. As time passed, Misty offered to gather and share our artwork for a future article in Somerset and the article made it into the above issue. My artwork appears on page 96. I share this special honor
 with the following artists:
Misty Mawn
Mariyln Rock
Jessica Herman Goodson
Kim Boehm
Roberta Schimdt
Patti Klausing
Kim Beller
Diane Ackers
Kim Henzkel

Pieces From My Heart

Working on a couple of journals, trying to tie up loose ends on several on going projects, doing some early fall cleaning and watching summer slip away. Life is.....

A Heart Wide Open

A journal page that is slowly coming together.
9" by 6" Journal
Under Construction.
More to come.
Life is good but busy. I am going in a dozen directions at once. Summer is slowly winding down. Fall is a just around the corner. I am looking forward to cooler nights and the rich, golden colors that come with the changing of the season's.
My heart is wide open. Ready for change.

Life Is Good

Big, huge journal pages I have been working on.
Poem by Brian Andreas.
This is what happens when I mess around with paint; different versions of me come out to play. I don't trust my drawing skills enough to ever actually do this kind of thing on a bound journal page so I tend to stick with loose pages and then if I choose to, glue them into my journal.

On being Brave.
I think flowers are so brave. They push through the soil and reach for the sky. They only know to seek for the sun.

Sometimes the best things in this life remain hidden from our eyes and are rooted deeply in our hearts.
