Digging out and it's still snowing.

Awesome new release and shameless plug.

This is Dina Wakley's new art journaling book that was just released. I ordered up my copy and it arrived on Tuesday and it is fantastically inspiring. I've taken on-line classes from Dina; I love her style, I love her energy, her spark and playfulness and not only do you get to break all of the rules that go with creating; you also learn all about the nuts and bolts of composition and design so when you break the rules, your journal pages still rock and roll in many colorful directions. As I was paging through I kept making little noises of excitement and anticipation of having this book lying open in front of me as I play in my journals. 

And if this were not enough to bring happiness into my week, I discovered this magazine on the shelves of Barnes and Noble with articles featuring the art of 

artists; Misty Mawn and Flora Bowley.

How awesome is that? I am smitten with the work of both these amazing women and pleased I've taken classes from both of them.  

So With all this snow I decided to make old-fashioned cinnamon rolls from scratch; the dough is rising and our home is nice and toasty warm and I'm sending out sweet and yeasty smoke signals into the air.
